Information concerning insurance event
- If a partial insurance event occurs, call the police in the Czech Republic immediately and inform SOB Leasing about the damage incurred. If you cannot get a police protocol or a reference number, at least note down the police station address and the name of the police officer who was assigned to the case. You are not required to take these steps if the damage to your vehicle did not exceed 50.000 -, the accident participants agreed on who had caused the accident (preferably in writing), and nobody was hurt.
- If you are at fault in the car accident or if one of the people involved in the accident was injured, fill in and send us an Insurance Event report form immediately. You can find it in the Driver section. The entitlement to indemnification shall be void if the Czech police are not called to the scene of the accident or if alcohol other narcotic or psychotropic substances are detected in the driver, or if the driver refuses to undergo a test for these substances.
- In case of vandalism or theft of your vehicle or part(s) thereof, you are obliged to ensure investigation of such occurrences by the Czech police. Notify us about the theft of your vehicle no later than the following workday and hand over to us the vehicle papers and all sets of keys, including immobilizer controls and remote lock controls. For safety reasons we do not recommend leaving the vehicle papers, refuelling cards, assistance books and removable radio panels in the vehicle. If you leave your papers in a stolen vehicle, it may result in a reduction of indemnification by the insurance company.
